Previous consultation related to the Allandale Transit Mobility Hub and Downtown Mini Hub:

  • The City presented a virtual Public Information Session on the project on June 23, 2021. Attendees met the project team, learned about results from an earlier survey that have informed the design and program choices to date, received a progress update, and learned about previously developed conceptual plans.
  • In early 2021, and again in late 2022, the City invited residents to share their vision for the future of Barrie's transit network through Barrie’s Transit Vision.
  • In 2018, the City conducted online engagement for the Mobility Hub through a “priorities & preferences survey” and results were considered in the Allandale Mobility Hub Feasibility Study.
  • From January 26 to February 16, 2023, the City collected feedback on public art themes to be considered for the future Allandale Transit Mobility Hub, through a survey and the ideas tool. Feedback provided during this consultation was given to the project team, and the results will help inform the design and selection of public art features to be incorporated within the site.
