The City of Barrie is preparing a Business Recovery Action Plan to assist the local economy in coming back stronger and smarter after COVID-19. It will guide local investment in the economic recovery after COVID-19, and identify local initiatives that will help the recovery process. The Plan will be built through consultation with local businesses, stakeholders, and the general public. It will then be presented for Council review, debate, and approval later in June.
A strong recovery plan should capture the ambition and collective action of our businesses and residents as we exit the crisis, and should include efforts that create lasting economic benefit for all.
How you can get involved:
For local businesses
As part of the business consultation process, we are asking businesses to complete a survey that will contribute to the creation of the action plan.
The survey is now closed. Thank you to the business owners who took the time to provide feedback.
For residents
We would like to hear from you about your ideas on how the City can support economic recovery and help our local businesses thrive.
Your ideas could consider:
What would encourage you to get back out and visit local businesses?
How could the City promote that its businesses are ‘open for business’?
Please submit your ideas below. They will be included as part of the consultation process and reviewed as we develop our recovery plan.
Thank you for your input, your voice and opinions are extremely valuable to our community.
