Building Barrie is the City's online platform empowering citizens to get involved by providing easy, innovative and meaningful ways to engage.

Data Collection Tools

Using Engagement HQ software powered by Bang the Table, Building Barrie has many tools to collect feedback including:

  • Places - interactive mapping to gather spacial input about the spaces and places in Barrie;
  • Surveys - in-depth qualitative & quantitative data collection;
  • Quick Polls - one question with multiple response choices for a quick pulse check;
  • Guestbook - gather feedback about the consultation process;
  • Stories - long-form contributions to help build empathy by collecting personal experiences;
  • Q&A - Interactive question/response tool;
  • Ideas - brainstorming feature to collect views and suggestions with voting prioritization; and,
  • Forum - open discussion topics to understand the level or participant interest.
