Survey No. 1 - Starting the Discussion
The City of Barrie is updating the Transportation Master Plan (TMP) and is gathering feedback on trip patterns, travel preferences, mobility, and infrastructure to guide the first phase of the project. Together with the City’s new Official Plan, the TMP will be a key tool in supporting growth and addressing both current and future transportation needs.
As the city grows, so do the demands on the transportation network. By updating the Transportation Master Plan, the City can proactively plan for these changes, improve connectivity, reduce congestion, enhance safety, promote sustainability, and ensure that transportation options meet the diverse needs of current and future residents.
In this first phase of engagement, we are interested in learning about how you move throughout the city, how we can support more residents in using public transit and active transportation, and what you want to see change in the future. This feedback will be used to identify the emerging directions of the Transportation Master Plan and guide the vision and goals developed in the next phase. Additional surveys will be conducted as the project progresses.
Public feedback is extremely valued and provides an opportunity for residents to provide insights to the project team on matters that concern them most and ideas on how we should plan for the City's future transportation network. This survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. After the survey is closed, the project team will compile a summary report to share with the public, which will be posted to this page. These reports will not contain any personally identifiable information provided through the surveys.
This Survey will be open until September 27 2024.
Thank you for your time and feedback.
